TradingMarketSignals publishes daily news and analysis for U.S. financial advisors, wealth managers, and individual investors focused on three pillars: mutual funds, wealth management, and financial planning. Our coverage decisions, sourcing practices, and corrections policy are described below so readers and search engines understand how we work.
Our Mission
We exist to help practitioners and serious individual investors stay current on the regulatory, market structure, and product developments that change how money is managed in America. We focus on RIA M&A, mutual fund and ETF flows, retirement plan rules (SECURE 2.0, OBBBA, IRMAA), and the firms shaping these markets — Vanguard, Fidelity, BlackRock, Schwab, JPMorgan, Capital Group, and the consolidator platforms acquiring independent practices.
Editorial Independence
TradingMarketSignals is an independent publication. We do not accept payment in exchange for editorial coverage. We do not publish sponsored content disguised as editorial. We do not allow advertisers, partners, or sources to review or alter article content prior to publication. When affiliate or partnership disclosures apply (currently none), they will be made explicitly at the top of the relevant article.
Sourcing Standards
Every article on this site is built from primary or named secondary sources. We rely on:
- Regulatory filings — SEC EDGAR, IRS guidance documents, CMS fact sheets, DOL rule announcements
- Industry data providers — Investment Company Institute (ICI), Crane Data, Morningstar, Cerulli Associates, Echelon Partners, DeVoe & Company, Broadridge, EPFR
- Wire services and trade publications — Reuters, Bloomberg, Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, InvestmentNews, WealthManagement.com, Financial-Planning.com, Pensions & Investments, AdvisorHub, RIABiz, 401(k) Specialist
- Direct firm communications — earnings releases, shareholder letters, official statements, regulatory disclosures
When we cite a number or quote, we name the source in the article. We do not summarize “industry reports” without identifying which firm published the report.
Fact-Checking Process
Every article is reviewed against its sources before publication. Numerical claims (AUM figures, rate changes, deal values, fund flows) are cross-referenced against the originating source document. When a source provides conflicting numbers, we either reconcile them or note the discrepancy.
When primary sources are not yet available — for example, a deal announced via press release without filed financials — we identify the announcement as such and avoid extrapolating beyond what was disclosed.
Distinction Between News, Analysis, and Opinion
Most articles on TradingMarketSignals are news + analysis: we report what happened, who is involved, the dollar amounts and dates, and then add context about why the development matters to advisors or investors. We aim to be clear about which sentences are factual reporting and which are interpretation.
We do not publish anonymous opinion pieces. When a forward-looking judgment is included, it reflects the editor’s analysis based on the cited evidence.
What This Site Is NOT
TradingMarketSignals does not provide personalized financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. Articles discussing Medicare premiums, IRMAA strategies, Roth conversions, or retirement withdrawal rates are educational. They describe how the rules work and what considerations apply — they do not tell any specific reader what to do with their money.
Readers facing specific decisions about their finances should consult a licensed financial advisor, a CPA, an estate attorney, or a Medicare specialist as appropriate. We make no representations about the suitability of any product, fund, advisor firm, or strategy mentioned for any individual reader.
Corrections Policy
When we make a factual error, we correct it promptly and visibly. The original article is updated with the correct information, and a correction note is appended at the bottom of the article describing what was changed and when. We do not silently edit substantive content.
If you believe an article on this site contains a factual error, please contact us at ed****@******************ls.com with the article URL, the disputed claim, and the corrected information with a source. We respond to correction requests within 5 business days.
Article Updates
When ongoing news justifies updating a previously published article (for example, a deal closes, a regulation is finalized, or a quoted figure changes), we update the article and note the date of the update at the top.
Author Identification
Every article on TradingMarketSignals is published with the byline of a named editor. The author’s profile page describes their professional background, credentials, and areas of focus. When external contributors author or co-author articles, they are identified by name with their relevant affiliation disclosed.
Use of AI Tools
We use generative AI as a research and drafting aid — to summarize source documents, to identify supporting context, and to draft initial copy that the editor then verifies, restructures, and rewrites. No article is published without human editorial review of the substantive claims and source citations. Images may be AI-generated and are produced for editorial illustration; they do not depict real people, real events, or real documents unless explicitly captioned otherwise.
Privacy and Data
We do not sell reader data. Our privacy policy describes the cookies, analytics tools, and contact form data we collect. The site is published from [city/region], operated by [individual or entity name], and hosted on commercial WordPress infrastructure.
